So, Collin Powell endorses Obama. What a slap in the face for the Republicans. I’m glad he’s done so because it’s refreshed the Democrats a little.
Bang! Another hurdle for Reps. I hope they’re weeping.

Story time: endless exams

The pressure of my family name redundantly weighs itself on my already burdened shoulders. I walk through the doors of the university, which very much felt like the gates of hell. I felt my parents support as their eyes burn themselves onto my back. But going through these doors completely nullified all of that support. Beyond these doors is me, the only person who could do anything in the world about anything is me. My reluctant eyes wander through the corridors and halls when they finally rest on a young man. This young man, around my age presumable, is very calm. His demeanor is of a man who is prepared. His image burns on my mind. I wish I feel as prepared as he is.

Staying in Focus – school

It’s been almost a week since school started and I’ve been able to adjust myself to school again. Many new teachers and some new students make the new academic year quite exciting, but that comment really sounds very fake.

Code Geass R2: 13th episode

Code Geass was already a very well known anime. As a smart and a mech (both awesome genre), it was a mix of Gundam/Macross and Death Note. This was already a masterpiece in its first season as it captured the hearts and minds of thousands and more anime watchers around the world. Lelouch, Zero, C.C., Orange-kun; they all became extremely well known characters that everyone who watches anime knew. I wasn’t a believer at first, watching only when the first season ended. But it was just that good of a series that I almost felt guilty for not watching it.

This week has strengthened my loyalty in Code Geass even more because now the story takes a new turn. You could almost say that it took a 180 degree turn into awesomeness. With two plot twists in one episode, both are very touching and hits you so unexpectedly that you would want more.

Admittedly this episode is not the most awesome episode because there was no C.C. in it but it goes up there with those episodes that define an anime (L dying in DN, etc.). Orange-kun, he was once a character that was a nuisance to me but now he’s my role model. His loyalty to Queen Marriene made him take sides with Lelouch (another plot twist later perhaps) and now it looks like Lelouch will take the morally good side now.

The death of Shirley (yes, that happened) may strengthen Lelouch’s belief in love (much like what Saya did to Train in Black Cat). Her death was touching and well made.

AND YES, new op and new ed makes this the best Geass episode of the season so far.

Okay… so I’m talking about hot girls that are stripper material, and I’m a girl myself. So what? I can talk about hot girls if I like, without making me look lesbian or bi-curious, right?

Let’s hope so. I wish to keep this civilized.

Most people go for the same old celebrities like Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and so forth… but that’s just boring! Not to mention its rather bland, repetitive and such a conformity.
